Meet our Community Inclusion Management Team

Sonika Botha
CIS Manager
With more than 25 years of national and international experience across the corporate sector, the Australian education system, and the disability sector, Sonika brings a strong balance of analytical thinking and practical problem-solving to her professional roles.
Her studies include Business Analysis & Decision Making, Professional Communication, and News & Politics, providing a solid foundation in communication, leadership, and strategic thinking.
Trained as a Specialist Health Aide and in Seizure Management, Sonika joined The Y team in 2021 and later progressed into the Management team as Scheduling Officer. Her dedication, professionalism, and people-focused approach have supported both staff and participants across the organisation.
In July 2025, Sonika was appointed Community Inclusion Services Manager, where she continues to guide and support the team in building an authentic organisation that is passionate about empowering individuals and fostering inclusive communities.

Bojana Gray
Scheduling Officer
Bojana joined the Management team in 2025, bringing extensive experience and expertise as a Practice Manager. Her background includes a Diploma in Nursing, along with previous studies in the Hospitality industry, giving her a well-rounded understanding of both clinical care and customer service.
Bojana is passionate about the Disability sector, and this is reflected in her strong attention to detail, compassionate approach, and commitment to delivering high-quality support services. She takes pride in ensuring participants and stakeholders are well informed about their service schedules and works closely with the team to maintain smooth day-to-day operations and positive outcomes for all involved.

Amber Witcherley
Client Engagement & Support Coordination
The Y Bundaberg welcomed Amber in 2019 after she completed her Certificate III in Individual Support. With previous experience in Aged Care, Amber developed a strong understanding of the diverse support needs of participants across all age groups.
Her passion for supporting participants, combined with her person-centred approach, inspired her to further expand her knowledge and skills within the disability support sector. In 2025, Amber joined the Management Team as Client Engagement and Support Coordinator.
In this role, Amber demonstrates her ongoing dedication and commitment to building positive relationships with participants, families, and stakeholders, ensuring high-quality, individualised support for everyone she works with.

Piper Anderson
Administration Officer
Piper has joined our team as an Administration Officer and Complex Behaviour Support Worker. After commencing her studies in Psychology, Piper began working in the Disability sector, where she developed a strong passion for supporting individuals with diverse and complex needs. She later travelled and worked abroad, further expanding her knowledge, experience, and understanding of different support approaches and cultures.
Piper’s calm and compassionate nature, combined with her understanding of complex behaviours, is of incredible value to our team. She is committed to providing person-centred support and building positive relationships with participants, families, and fellow team members.

Daniel Boogaart
Supported Independent Living Team Leader
Daniel is a committed Complex Behaviour Team Leader within the Supported Independent Living (SIL) environment at The Y Bundaberg. Since joining the organisation in 2019, Daniel has become an integral part of the Complex Adult Participant Support Team.
Daniel is passionate about creating safe, structured, and empowering environments that promote independence, choice, and quality of life. His strong understanding of person-centred supports and positive behaviour strategies allows him to lead his team in delivering high-quality care tailored to each participant’s individual goals and needs.
Through his leadership and dedication, Daniel continues to foster meaningful outcomes for participants while ensuring the highest standards of support are maintained within the SIL environment.
Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner Team

Breanna Morgan
Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner
Breanna has her Masters in Psychology and has two years’ experience working as a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner (PBSP). This role involves the designing and implementing Positive Behaviour Support Plans for young people who may display challenging behaviours. With this experience, Breanna now places her focus on overseeing, supporting and mentoring our Behaviour Support Practitioners, who are new to the role. This involves assisting them with the management of their own caseload. Breanna’s previous experience as a Youth Worker gave her further insight and understanding into complex behaviours and the approach to navigate them, Breanna is a committed to enhance the lives of our participants.
When not working, Breanna enjoys spending time with her dog at the beach or reading a book.

Nia Golding
Training Practicitioner
Nia joined the PBSP Team in 2024 as a Training Practitioner while completing her Bachelor of Psychology. She is passionate about delivering person-centred behaviour support strategies that are tailored to each participant’s individual needs, goals, and capacity. Nia is committed to promoting positive outcomes through evidence-based practices, skill development, and proactive support approaches that enhance participants’ quality of life, independence, and community engagement.
In addition, Nia has valuable experience working within complex behaviour support, particularly with minors, including the implementation of Positive Behaviour Support Plans, emotional regulation strategies, and collaborative approaches with families, carers, and multidisciplinary teams. She is dedicated to building trusting relationships and creating supportive environments that encourage meaningful and sustainable behavioural outcomes.

Brenton Smith
Training Practicitioner
Brenton has been a dedicated member of The Y’s Youth team since 2020 and recently chose to also apply his previous experience within our BSP space. He holds a Bachelor of Psychology and is currently working towards his Master’s degree.
Brenton is recognised for his commitment to building strong relationships and supporting clients to develop the foundations needed to thrive towards greater independence. We look forward to seeing Brenton continue to learn and grow within our supportive team as he progresses through his professional journey.
